Hi! My name is Erin McFerrin and I am the Primary Advisor of the Herky C.A.R.E.S. Project. This is my third year as a Residence Education Coordinator in University Housing & Dining and working with Herky CARES is my favorite part of my job! We have great students and programs, as well as a mission that can't be beat. I love being able to help students find and talk about their passion areas with others.
Previous to my work at UI, I was a Community Director at California State University-Monterey Bay and a Service-Learning & Community-Based Research Assistant at Appalachian State University. I received my B.S. in Human Services, with an emphasis in Non-Profit Management, from Metropolitan State University in Denver, CO in 2006 and my M.A. in College Student Development at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC in 2011. All of these experiences have provided me with great opportunities to work both with campus and community partners to help find ways to better our community.
